ADPR 5741 - Integrated ADPR Campaigns
This semester, I developed a comprehensive campaign for Liquid Death, a brand known for its edgy humor and commitment to sustainability. The campaign aimed to attract new customers who would typically not approach a brand like liquid death. The result is a cohesive strategy that reinforces the brand’s rebellious identity while increasing consumer reach and ROI.
ADPR 5710 - Advertising and Communication Management
In a small group, throughout the semester, we prepared and executed a strategic communication plan for the brand Barnes and Noble. We utilized the strategic planning process to plan out an advertising and promotion campaign, and to create two individual advertisements showing your campaign in action in two separate mediums.
Alongside submitting our strategic plan, we also presented our advertisements in class using this slide deck (includes video) in two separate mediums.
ADPR 5760 - Digital and Social Communication Strategy
Our group was tasked with choosing a local Athens business to approach and propose a digital marketing plan. We chose the downtown cafe, Philanthropy Fresh. For them, we created a plan that included competitive evaluation, target audiences and profiles, positioning, strategy outline, media selection, and more specific to their brand.
Individually, I was tasked with creating a personal brand through two social media platforms centered around a hobby or something I enjoy. I chose to do a cocktail and wine account because I am a bartender at a country club. This presentation shows sample posts, KPIs, strategies, and results.
JRMC 7940 - Public Relations Foundations
In this graduate level course, my team and I were tasked with evaluating a corporate communications/public relations case. We researched the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, identifying the situation, response, and outcomes in relation to corporate communications and public relations.
Alongside submitting the case study report, we also presented our findings to the class, using this slide deck.
ADPR 3520 - Graphic Communications
I created a sticker of my dog using Adobe Illustrator. I was not allowed to use any AI features in Adobe, therefore I traced the original picture by hand to create the sticker.
I created a poster, staff lanyard, and two social media posts for the Wasatch Wildflower Festival using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. For the poster, I was instructed to include the name of the festival, the dates, the location, and a QR code. Then, I had to create a lanyard and two social media posts consistent with the theme of the poster.
I created a new podcast cover for The Self Made Podcast by Chloe Trca using Adobe Photoshop. Since the audience is young women, probably in the age range 17-25, I decided to make the podcast cover monochromatic and neutral because it is currently “trendy” in this age range. These colors also signify fresh beginnings, calmness, and a clean aesthetic (the life Chloe talks about). I added reflections of leaves and the blurred window to communicate ideas of reflection and goal planning, while establishing a setting that reflects a place for meditation and journaling. I then added the silhouette of a woman taking a “mirror picture” to represent individuality and womanhood. I used the same copy that was in the original podcast cover. However, I changed the font to a lighter-weight serif. I kept the serif style from the original but played around with italics and capitals to establish a softer, more inviting tone. I felt that the color black was the correct choice for the title because it contrasted well with the neutral background. However, I put the author’s name in a light pink/white color to match the background, since the podcast focuses on making yourself, not others.
I redesigned the book cover for Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews using Adobe InDesign. The audience for the book is men and women, young-middle-aged who enjoy a mind-twisting plot. My design choices of dark colors and transparency were to play into the creepy aspect of the novel. The type that I used for the title was chosen to follow this creepy aesthetic as well. The back cover was very challenging for me to do, but I ended up justifying the text and I think it creating a clean look and emphasized the white space well.
ADPR 3120 - Media Strategy and Activation
My team and I were tasked with completing a media plan for the Chicago Field Museum. We completed a situation analysis, set communication objectives, identified our audience, planned strategies, proposed a budget, scheduled media, etc.
Alongside submitting our media plan book, we also presented our ideas to the class using this slide deck.
ADPR 3110 - Brand Storytelling
In a small group, we created a campaign plan for the student radio station WUOG 90.5. We created a media mix, consumer evaluation, competitive analysis, communication objective, strategies, brand essence chart, etc. Following our research, we presented our ideas for print ads, a video storyboard, integrated marketing, guerilla advertising, and an Instagram brand sheet.
ADPR 3400 - ADPR Research: Insights and Analytics
My group and I were tasked with building a creative brief for a local Athens business. We chose Molly's Coffee Company because we felt their website needed improvement in terms of UX and functionality. This shows our slide deck used for our presentation, with the actual creative brief at the end.
ADPR 3515 - Foundations of Graphic Communications
In my first semester as an advertising student, I had to redesign a "bad" advertisement provided by the professor. The only requirement was that I had to keep all of the type on the page, even if it seemed excessive. I like to keep this project in my portfolio because it shows how far I have come as a creative and my improvement over time.
MARK 4450 - Social Media Marketing Strategy
In my elective marketing class, I created a digital marketing plan for the shoe brand Blundstone. It is based on a new product launch and explored the ideal consumer, competition, funnel strategies, and more.
